RECORD BREAKERS PUSHES IMPERIAL VALLEY HIGH-RISK STUNTS

IMPERIAL VALLEY / EL CENTRO, CA, UNITED STATES, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Record Breakers Co. announced today that its full-scale live world-record festival — originally scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2026 at the Imperial Fairgrounds — will not go forward on that date.

The event has been postponed to Saturday, January 23, 2027, at the same venue: Imperial Fairgrounds, 200 East 2nd Street, Imperial, California, in the heart of the Imperial Valley serving El Centro and the surrounding desert communities.

This is not a marketing delay. It is a hard stop.

The card still includes the kind of attempts that leave no margin for error: a motorcycle world-record jump, a 250-foot-plus trophy-truck long-distance duel, a side-by-side UTV long-distance world-record attempt, elite BMX and skate in the NBD Invitational, drift, demolition derby, and a headline music close. Those stunts do not fail politely. When steel, dirt, speed, and human bodies meet at that scale, a half-finished ramp or an untested landing is not a production problem. It is a life-or-death problem.

Record Breakers leadership said the engineering and testing calendar has not yet cleared the standard the company will accept before putting talent in the air. “We came to Imperial Valley to make history, not headlines for the wrong reason,” a company statement said. “These ramps, these trucks, these jumps — they are being built to do things that have never been done in front of a live crowd. Until the steel is proven, the numbers are proven, and the landings are proven, we will not ask a rider, a driver, or a crew member to send it. November 21 is too soon. January 23 is the date we can stand behind.”

The additional weeks will be used for structural engineering, load and impact testing, ramp geometry verification, vehicle prep, and full-speed rehearsal under controlled conditions. Record Breakers said the decision was made with athletes, builders, and safety leads — not over them. The talent respects and agrees with the engineers decision.

Fans who already planned on November 21 are asked to hold the new date. Existing tickets, the company said, will be honored for January 23, 2027, with transfer and refund details to be issued directly to ticket holders. Anyone who purchased travel around the original date is urged to check airline and lodging policies immediately.

The Imperial Fairgrounds date was billed as the desert chapter of Record Breakers’ live record book: world-record attempts measured and certified in front of the crowd, not cut together later for a camera. That promise still stands. The calendar does not.

History can wait two months.
