Sapience today announced the launch of AskIQ, the new conversational intelligence experience within the SapienceIQ platform that gives enterprise leaders a faster, more intuitive way to explore their organizational data and turn it into actionable insight.
AskIQ allows authorized executives and managers to interact directly with their workforce data using natural language. Leaders can ask a business question, receive a clear, structured and data-backed answer in seconds, and continue the conversation with follow-up questions to explore the issue further — without building a report, waiting for an analyst or learning a business intelligence tool.
“AskIQ represents a major step forward in how enterprise leaders can interact with their data,” said Bradley Killinger, CEO of Sapience. “The goal isn’t simply to give executives more information. It’s to make trusted intelligence accessible at the moment they need it. AskIQ lets leaders ask what they need to know, explore what the data is telling them and move from question to decision much faster.”
At the foundation of AskIQ is Sapience Operational Business Logic™ (SOBL™), Sapience’s proprietary data processing and intelligence architecture.
SOBL™ is what turns complex, raw enterprise data into trusted, AI-ready data. Its extract, transform, and load (ETL) capabilities process and prepare data at enterprise scale, while its Semantic Layer applies Sapience’s defined business logic, definitions, relationships and context. Together, those capabilities transform raw information into governed, decision-grade data that can be consistently understood and used to act upon immediately.
That foundation is especially important for AskIQ. Rather than placing a conversational interface directly over raw enterprise data and asking it to determine what the information means, AskIQ operates on data that SOBL™ has already processed, contextualized and governed. AskIQ queries that data through the SOBL™ Semantic Layer, giving leaders a conversational way to access their organizational workforce data.
“SOBL™ is what makes AskIQ fundamentally different,” Killinger said. “Before a leader ever asks a question, SOBL™ has already done the critical work of processing the data, applying the appropriate business logic and creating the context needed to make that information useful. AskIQ then makes that intelligence incredibly easy to access. It’s the combination of a trusted data foundation and a conversational experience that creates the value for our clients.”
AskIQ provides a conversational path into workforce data, allowing leaders to investigate questions as they emerge and pursue follow-up questions. AskIQ allows leaders to explore workforce data that goes beyond the traditional dashboard.
AskIQ was also designed around the security and governance requirements of large enterprises. Processing takes place inside each customer’s dedicated environment, customer data is not used to train external or shared AI models, and interactions are audit-logged.
“Companies have invested heavily in collecting data, but the value comes from making that data understandable and usable by the people running the business,” said Adam Rowland, Head of Product and Strategy at Sapience. “SOBL™ provides the trusted foundation, and AskIQ creates a remarkably simple way to interact with it. Together, they can dramatically reduce the distance between identifying a business question and having the intelligence needed to act.”
For Sapience customers, that means faster access to intelligence around some of their most consequential business issues, including capacity, labor costs, contingent workforce performance, employee workload, technology utilization and organizational effectiveness.
