Springfield Holyoke, MA, November 5, 2026 —
SOUTH BEND, IN – ESPN announced that actor Jason Sudeikis, known for his role as the titular character in the popular Apple TV+ series “Ted Lasso,” will serve as the guest picker for the upcoming broadcast of “College GameDay.” The popular college football pre-game show is scheduled to originate from South Bend, Indiana.
Sudeikis, an avid football fan, will join the “College GameDay” crew on-site to make his predictions for the week’s key college football matchups. The specific date and the college football game featured in South Bend were not detailed in the announcement.
“College GameDay,” a staple of college football Saturdays, typically broadcasts from the site of a significant game each week, drawing large crowds and providing in-depth analysis, interviews, and predictions. The addition of a well-known personality like Sudeikis as the guest picker is a common practice by the show to generate further interest and engagement.
Sudeikis’s connection to sports, particularly football, has been a recurring theme, notably through his portrayal of Ted Lasso, an American football coach hired to manage a British soccer team. His involvement is expected to add a unique and entertaining dynamic to the broadcast.
The selection of South Bend as the broadcast location suggests a prominent matchup involving Notre Dame, though the opponent and game details are pending confirmation. “College GameDay” often selects the most anticipated games of the week for its remote broadcasts.
Fans attending the broadcast in South Bend can anticipate Sudeikis’s appearance as part of the show’s signature segment where the guest picker joins host Rece Davis and analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, and David Pollack to predict the outcomes of several college football games.
